Plain-language definitions of the terms used in the admin and in this guide.

TermMeaning
AdminThis management system, the private area where you run the business and website. Also the name of the highest team access level.
Alt text / image descriptionA one-line description of an image, read aloud by screen readers and used by search engines.
ArchiveRetiring a record (like a customer account) without deleting it. The history stays.
ClientA customer, meaning someone who books and pays for services.
DisableA switch that hides an item (service, option, category) from customers without deleting it. The reversible alternative to deleting.
DraftA saved change that customers cannot see yet. Becomes visible when you publish.
FaviconThe small icon shown in the browser tab next to your site's name.
Home serviceA service performed at the customer's address, within a store's service area.
Live / publishedVisible to customers right now.
Locale / languageA language version of the website's content.
Margin durationHidden buffer minutes before or after an appointment, for setup, travel, or cleanup.
OperationsThe read-only dashboard showing today's work, incoming orders, and staff workload.
Order statusWhere a booking is in its life: Requested, Scheduled, In progress, then Completed (or Canceled / Failed).
PreviewViewing a change exactly as customers will see it, before publishing.
PublishMaking a draft live. Customers see it immediately.
Search previewThe title and description search engines and social shares display for a page.
Sender nameThe "from" name customers see in their inbox on your emails.
Service area / radiusHow far from a branch home service reaches, in kilometers.
Service modeWhether a service happens in-store or at the customer's home.
SlugThe web address of a page or service, meaning the part after your domain, like /services/wash-and-fold. Changing it breaks old links.
StaffA worker who performs services and appears on schedules.
StoreA branch: its address, hours, staff, and service area.
UserA team member's account for signing in to this admin.
VariantA concrete option of a service that customers pick and pay for, with its own price, duration, and requirements.
Version historyPrevious saved versions of content, kept so you can restore one if a change goes wrong.
