Getting Started
Publish Checklist
A one-minute check to run before any change goes live.
Run through this before clicking Publish (or Save, in areas that go live immediately). It takes a minute and catches almost every common mistake.
The universal checks
- Is the information accurate today, not last month's price, hour, or promotion?
- Would a first-time customer understand it, without knowing your internal shorthand?
- Do all links and buttons go to live, correct destinations?
- Did you preview on mobile as well as desktop?
- Did you edit the item you meant to edit (right page, right store, right order)?
Extra checks by type of change
| If you changed... | Also check... |
|---|---|
| A service, price, or option | The service page and the booking flow show the new values |
| Store hours or holidays | Booking no longer offers times you are closed, and still offers times you are open |
| The homepage | Featured services are bookable and promotions have not expired |
| A menu or footer | The header/footer looks right on mobile and every link opens |
| An image | Every page that uses the image still looks right |
| Business or contact info | The phone number and email are correct and someone monitors that inbox |
| An email subject or sender name | It reads correctly in an inbox and matches the message it belongs to |
After publishing
Open the live website as a customer would and look at what you changed. This final glance catches the surprises no checklist can predict.
If something looks wrong
Don't panic. Most content mistakes are fixed by editing again or restoring a previous version. See I published the wrong thing.
